The tests are available online during the above period. You can also take the test at the Multimedia Language Learning Centre (MSZ; SE1, Zellescher Weg 22, 2nd floor).
English:
Foreign students who do not have a German Abitur must take the English placement test!
French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and German as a foreign language:
Placement tests are mandatory if you have previous knowledge of the language.
Test procedure for all languages:
- Please visit the following website: Placement Tests TU Dresden
- Click on the test for your language. The login page will appear.
- Log in as a guest (under the login menu).
- Click on the link to the test with the red symbol “(Language) Test,” then click on the “Start E-Test” field. The test will open in a new tab. On the introduction page of the test, you will find a link to the sample test.
- Start the placement test by clicking on START. You have 25 minutes to complete the test.
You will receive your results (score/language course level) immediately after completing the test. Please print them out and bring them with you to your first lesson. The tests must be completed independently and without any aids.
