Educational goal
Exam B1 corresponds to the level of the entrance test for the propaedeutic course or the intermediate and advanced courses (B2-C1) at TUDIAS and for the Studienkolleg.

Training content
In the preliminary course German A2-B1.2 a basic training in the German language takes place. Grammar and vocabulary are consolidated and expanded. The skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing are developed.

Building on the knowledge of basic grammar, and after successfully passing the B1 exam, you will learn intermediate grammar and expand your vocabulary knowledge. You will train your reading and listening comprehension, as well as your speaking and writing skills.

Target group
All international students with previous knowledge of the German language. The course is particularly suitable for international applicants who later wish to take the DSH, TestDaF or Feststellungsprüfung.

The course period includes 2 weeks of vacation. It is possible to join the current course by arrangement if you have the appropriate prior knowledge.

Training objective
Level of the DSH/the TestDaF

Training content
Building on the consolidation of basic grammar and vocabulary, the intermediate level grammar is taught and the vocabulary is expanded. Reading and listening comprehension and speaking and writing skills are further developed. The course concludes with DSH/TestDaF training.

Joining the level C1 is only possible when the B2 exam is passed successfully.

Target group
All international students with completed B1. The course is particularly suitable for international applicants who wish to take the DSH or TestDaF.

Preconditions
B1 completed, passing the entrance test.

At the end of the course you can take a B1 exam and receive a B1 certificate.

All international students with A2 level knowledge. This course is for all interested students who want to apply for the preparatory semester at the TU Dresden (Propädeutikum) or for the Studienkolleg TUDIAS with a B1 certificate.

Proof of an A2 certificate is required. If no A2 certificate is available, a placement test at level A2 will be conducted.
