Dresden International Spring and Summer Courses

With our International Dresden Spring and Summer Courses you will experience Dresden, the capital of art and culture, in a special way. The offer is aimed at foreign students, doctoral candidates, as well as guest researchers who want to deepen and expand their knowledge of German. From February to March and from June to September, qualified instructors lead the classes and guarantee individual support for the participants. For an optimal learning effect, we also enable participants to apply their language skills in real-life situations.

We offer the courses "German language, regional studies and culture" for all language levels: As intensive courses for beginners and participants with little knowledge of German (A1-A2), for intermediate learners (B1-B2), and for advanced learners and experts (B2/C1-C2). The course groups are divided after the placement test on the day of arrival (Monday) at 12:00 noon.

Classes are run in small groups from Monday to Friday. As a rule, there are 12 to 15 participants. The class time is between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm. We schedule a break from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. In the afternoons we also organize extensive cultural and cultural programs. At the end of the course, each participant receives a certificate of completion with proof of hours.

The course fees include various excursions to the surrounding area. The social program includes, for example, a walking tour of the Old Town and New Town, visits to selected museums, and numerous historical sights. The course participants visit, among others, the German Hygiene Museum, the Panometer Dresden, as well as Pillnitz Palace. All events are supervised by student tutors.

For a fee, participants can also book full-day excursions on weekends or additional offerings. These include, for example, excursions to Leipzig or Prague.

Furthermore, the course fee includes a registration fee of €100, which is forfeited in the event of withdrawal.
